Circus Surreal – Festival Plaza

Circus Surreal is a collective of talented performers founded by Lindsay Istace. At the age of 19 Lindsay began busking with a crystal ball and wasn’t long until becoming completely enamoured with the idea of being a full-time entertainer. In 2011 they chose to broaden their skill set by moving to Alberta to learn fire eating and fire dance from trained professionals, as well as the art of sword swallowing. Lindsay has travelled abroad to train at the Beijing International Acrobatic School, SanFrancisco Circus Centre, and to Las Vegas to study under contortion legend Otgo Waller. Circus Surreal is based in Edmonton, AB, and includes a variety of performers including jugglers, magicians, fire acts, stilt-walkers, mad scientists, and many other wonderfully talented individuals.
