In this episode of Before The Peace, Jenna and Tre chat with Alyssa Currie,Executive Director of the Tse’k’wa Heritage Society, about theUniversity of Northern BC-led dig that took place in May. The episode also includes chatswithDr. Jon Driver and Dick Gilbert during the six-week project.
Dr. Driver was one of the first archaeologists to work on the site in the 80s after being invitedby Dr. Knut Fladmark, who first documented the site in 1974. He later returned to the site with Fladmark in 1990 and 1991 for additional excavations.
Gilbert helped Driver and Fladmark and was one of the first archeologists to survey the cave in the 70s.
