Winter Cruiser Host

Moose FM in Fort St. John, B.C., has an exciting opportunity for someone in our community. We are searching for our next Winter Cruiser host.

This person will meet with our team for a few hours each week to plan their weekend’s activities. This could include (but is not limited to) visiting businesses, attending events, and talking ON AIR about all the amazing things to see and do in the city. 

This will be a part time weekend position that will be around 8-10 hours per week and paid at $17-$19/hour. 

Here is what you’ll do each week:

• Meet with our Program Director to plan your appearances, and schedule for the weekend.
• Ensure your on air equipment and vehicle are prepared for your duties.
• Travel throughout the city, attend events, and perform breaks on air to tell YOUR audience about the FUN things that are happening.
• You will also be expected to post content from community events on our social media pages.
• Help write and report weekly updates for our newsletter and our team at Energetic City

Job Requirements

• You will need superior communication skills.
• Be skilled with social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc).
• Represent our station at events.
• Have solid problem-solving skills.
• Skills in writing are an asset
• And be willing to learn.
• Prior experience in radio is an asset, but not necessary.
